Toyota Prius c Completes the Prius Family of Vehicles

Prius’s come in many forms, and Schaumburg Toyota is excited about the arrival of the new Toyota Prius c in March, which will complete the Prius family of vehicles. The letter “c” represents this particular Prius model’s urban friendly design. Its hatchback utility, engaging driving experience, and a city fuel economy rating of an impressive 53 mpg.

The 53 mpg makes it the highest city mpg rating of any vehicle without a plug. 2012 Rav4 Looks great at Schaumburg Toyota!

Schaumburg Toyota is not in the business of taking advantage of its customers, and that can be perfectly illustrated in 2012. RAV4’s models receives an overall price increase of only 0.4 percent, and some models actually reduced their prices allowing the RAV4 to keep its excellent value. But, please do not let the modest price increase give the impression that it is just a retread of the previous model. There are many new features that we are excited about, and think you will be too.

RAV4 driver’s know they want a sports utility vehicle that isn’t as clunky as other SUVs. 2012’s RAV4, which hit lots on December 20th, continues to offer just that. Prices range from model to model, but the value to get you from point A to point B will be great even if there are a few boulders in the way. All 2012 RAV4 models will be equipped with hands free phone capabilities, phone book access and music streaming via Bluetooth. The optional RAV4 system includes a 6.1 inch touch screen, MP3/WMA playback capabilities, six speakers, a three month trial subscription to XM Select Package, HD Radio with iTunes Tagging just to name a few of the features. Also available is the Entune multimedia system, which is complimentary for three years. This system is a collection of popular mobile applications and date services via a compatible smartphone. It includes Bing and Pandora.

Toyota Contributes to More Green Initiatives

Forty-four environmental projects received nearly $1.1 million dollars in combined funding through TogetherGreen Innovation Grants. TogetherGreen is funded by a $20 million grant from Toyota over five years beginning in 2008, and is dedicated to environmental projects nation wide. Schaumburg Toyota is very proud to be associated with TogetherGreen for a number of reasons. One of which is because we appreciate the opportunities the Innovation Grants provide to engage new audiences in protecting the environment, much like Toyota has done with its vehicles for years.

The TogetherGreeen Innovation Grants have doled out over $4.7 million to more than 160 environmental projects since its inception, and in the past year there were grant recipients in twenty-seven different states. The diversity of these grants is not only geographical, and we are very proud that many of the projects focus on audiences that traditionally have been under served by the conservation movement. There is a large range of Grantees. The Mountain Roots Food Project, in Colorado, will work with a variety of different groups in need to create six new community gardens in order to provide food for humans and habitat for animals. There is also Lights Out San Diego! which aims to reduce artificial urban lighting to prevent bird collisions during spring and fall migrations and save energy. TogetherGreen does not only offer financial help to these recipients. Grantees also take part in workshops in order to strengthen their capacity to achieve conservation results.

A lot has changed in the automobile world between 1966 and 2012. Corolla’s being at the forefront of consumer value is not among the changes – the great value has remained. Safety of our customers is nothing Schaumburg Toyota has ever taken lightly, which is why we were so happy to see the latest news from the Traffic Safety Administration. The all-new 2012 Camry has recently been awarded a five-star composite safety rating. When you consider the vehicle was put through an even more rigorous NHTSA testing procedure that was aimed to raise the bar for overall vehicle safety, which we welcome, it makes the fact the 2012 Camry was given a five-star safety rating even more impressive.

We appreciate the fact that buying a new vehicle is a big decision. Consumers are interested in more than just what it looks like, and the newly redesigned Camry takes this into consideration. The Camry’s safety focused engineering and strong design have factored into it being the nation’s top-selling car. There are a number of interesting features that led to this exciting award. This feature, which is just the most recent addition to the Toyota Touch infotainment family, will offer a never before seen connection between the smartphone and the vehicle. Mirroring the smartphone’s display on the infotainment systems touchscreen will allow easy access to the phone’s functionalities using steering wheel-based controls or the touchscreen itself.

Nokia smartphone users will be able to easily connect their devices with the new feature using MirrorLink, which was developed by Car Connectivity Consortium, but don’t fret if you are an Iphone user. Once you download the free “Application Launcher” app from the App Store you’ll be able to connect your device with the Toyota Touch Life, as well. Some of the apps that will be accessible to drivers and passengers alike include the Garmin StreetPilot, internet radio apps, and Facebook or Twitter. In addition, connectivity to the Apple iPod comes standard on this exciting new feature granting full access to their music collection, and connectivity will continue to expand as more mobile communications and consumer electronics companies implement the MirrorLink standard.

The highly successful Toyota Camry mid-sized sedan will no doubt continue its successful run on top of the auto market thanks to its latest model year – the 2012 Toyota Camry. Critics and fans alike are calling the 2012 Toyota Camry the best version of the Camry to date. And that is saying something, considering the Toyota Camry has been the top selling car in America for the last thirteen out of fourteen years.
