The event was attended by Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, who said, “To move forward in this changing new economy, we must create jobs and expand opportunity – and education is the best tool we have.”  In addition to the Diplomas to Degrees initiative, Toyota has also pledged $1 million for educational scholarships to over 225 Boys and Girls Club alumni and staff.
